1. Welcome to AETS Online Learning System

Welcome to AETS’ Online Learning System. We have moved to a Digital Learning System to improve your learning experience.

1.1 Note

AETS do not host the Learning Platform, it is provided by Canvas by Instructure LLC. The following requirements have been obtained from Canvas to assist in getting you online.

1.2 Online Etiquette

  • Respect the privacy of others
  • Be respectful of each other – offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Please see Student Handbook for acceptable behaviour
  • Keep in mind that everything you write is recorded. On the Internet there are no take backs.
  • Being online does not exempt you from posting offensive comments

1.4 Disability Support Services and Accessibility Statement

If you have a disability that you need to request accommodations, please email [email protected] to arrange for assistance.

Canvas provides a user experience that is easy, simple, and intuitive. Special attention has been paid to making Canvas screen-readable. The Rich Content Editor encourages users to create accessible content pages (i.e. text formatting is accomplished using styles). Canvas is designed to allow limited customisation of colours and schemes to be accessible for all users. The National Federation of the Blind granted Canvas the Gold Level Web Certification in 2010.
