Program Overview

Over six weeks, you will develop confidence in the skills and experience already attained, through a mix of team based learning, self-paced learning, and one to one coaching. This will involve the development of individual career training plans of up to 25 hours per week. We will combine relevant non accredited modules together with nationally accredited units of competency from the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.

The program targets two key elements:

Tailored Career Assistance (TCA)

Designed to guide you through the development of your unique brand and will include a range of modules which can be incorporated into individual training plans.

Particpants will receive:

Strength-based resume writing, cover letters and interview coaching
Career Coaching – managing knockbacks and addressing employability barriers

Functional Digital Literacy (FDL)

Learn everything you need to know with the skills and understanding for success in the digital economy.

Particpants will receive:

Online training, including the use of current internet technologies which will provide awareness when using social media platforms to source out the hidden job market
Access to JobReady Live – an online portal for learners to develop their own digital profile and to record and store their job search documentation

Program Eligibility

From 2 July 2018, individuals will be eligible for our program if they are:

Registered with a jobactive provider within the Adelaide and Ballarat employment region
50 years of age or older

Available Locations

Career Transition Assistance will be trialed in five Employment Regions across Australia, ahead of a national rollout from July 2019.

We will deliver services in Adelaide South and Ballarat Employment Regions.
